The polytechnic admits both boys and girls. Reservation will be made as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Admission of students under All India Quota and Orthopedically Handicapped are being done under DOTE's special permission.
Candidates must adhere to the age limit set by the Directorate of Technical Education.
Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions such as subjects, marks, and number of attempts as specified by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu.

Full-Time Regular Diploma Course: 6 consecutive semesters.
The minimum and maximum period for completion of Diploma Courses are as given below:
