E.G.S. Pillay Polytechnic College is a self-financing institution located in Nagapattinam District, established through the vision and dynamism of Chevalier Dr. G.S. Pillay. Since its founding in 2011, the college has been a beacon of educational excellence.
Managed by the G.S. Pillay & Sons Charitable and Educational Trust, the college offers five programs: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Computer Science Engineering (CSE). It is affiliated with AICTE and the Directorate of Technical Education.
The college has been sanctioned by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Organization in 2014 to inaugurate an NSS unit, promoting social service activities and fostering a spirit of helping among students.
As an associate member of TNSCST, Government of Tamil Nadu, the college facilitates industry-institute interactions and, in 2019, served as the district host for the Capacity Building for Technical Engineers Program.
Additionally, the college has established an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and organized an Entrepreneurship Development Program for final-year students under the PM-YUVA Scheme by the Government of India.
